Temporary Increase in member fee 1 February–31 July 2026
The Board of the Benefit Fund has decided to increase the fund’s monthly member fee by 7 euros for the period 1 February 2026–31 July 2026. The increase is temporary and is based on section 10 of the fund’s rules. The member fee will be 38 euros per month.
The decision is based on the fund’s current financial situation. The amendments to the rules presented at the autumn meeting, which were intended to strengthen the fund’s financial sustainability, were not approved. Since the rules could not be changed at this stage, the fund must resort to the measures permitted under the current rules to restore financial balance.
The temporary increase in the insurance contribution is necessary to ensure:
- the stable and sustainable operation of the fund
- sufficient solvency
- the ability to continue offering diverse compensation services
We appreciate your contribution to the stability and continuity of our shared fund. If you have any questions regarding the increase or its basis, we are happy to assist.
Financial Supervisory Authority Has Approved the Amendments to the Fund’s Rules
The Financial Supervisory Authority has approved the rule changes proposed by the fund meeting, and the new rules are now officially in force.
The key changes are:
- Section 37 – Meeting Invitations and Registration
- Meeting invitations will now be sent 2–4 weeks before the meeting.
- Exercising the right to vote requires advance registration no later than 10 days before the meeting.
These changes aim to clarify meeting practices and ensure smooth participation in the fund’s decision-making.
Spring Meeting of the Benefit Fund on 23 April 2026
The spring meeting of the Benefit Fund will be held on Thursday, 23 April 2026 at 16:15. The meeting will be organized in accordance with the fund’s rules, and the official meeting invitation will be sent to insured members 2–4 weeks beforehand.
According to the fund’s rules, members and shareholders may submit proposals to the Board regarding matters they wish to have addressed at the fund meeting. Written proposals must be submitted to the Board no later than four weeks before the meeting so they can be included in the invitation. We will remind you of this closer to the meeting and provide instructions on how to submit proposals.

Please explore the updated site – improvements are ongoing, and we welcome your feedback.
Using Iris – Please Ensure You Select the Correct Fund
The Benefit Fund’s electronic services operate via the Iris service. For this purpose, our website now includes dedicated menus: “Submitting application” and “Iris – e-Services”. In these sections you will find:
- instructions for logging in to Iris
- instructions for applying for compensation via Iris
When logging in to Iris with your online banking credentials, please ensure that you select the correct Benefit Fund link. You can confirm the correct fund on the Suomi.fi identification selection page, where the name of the insurance fund is displayed.

If you accidentally choose the wrong fund, the system sends a request to that fund to process your access. These requests must be handled manually, which slows down the process—this is why selecting the correct fund is important.
Please keep this in mind when accessing the Iris service through the provided link.
We wish all our insured members a Happy New Year!
