Notice to the Insured Members of the Kone’s Employee Benefit Fund for Staff:

Temporary Increase in membership fee from 1 September to 31 December 2025

Dear insured members,

The spring meeting of the Kone’s Employee Benefit Fund decided to raise the membership fee to €31 due to a significant increase in compensation payments during 2025 compared to the previous year, which has weakened the fund’s financial position. The implementation of the new rules has been delayed by the Financial Supervisory Authority, and the deficit could not be corrected in accordance with them.

The Board has reviewed the situation and concluded that, under the current financial circumstances, a temporary increase in the membership fee is necessary to address the deficit for 2025. The Board of the Kone’s Employee Benefit Fund has decided to increase the membership fee by €2 per month for the period from 1 September to 31 December 2025. This increase is based on Section 10 of the rules and is essential to balance the financial situation.

Section 10 of the rules states: “If required by the financial situation of the fund, the Board may reduce or increase the maximum and minimum amounts of the membership fee paid by members and insured persons, provided that any increase does not exceed 25 percent.”

The increase is €2 per month on top of the current membership fee. Before the Financial Supervisory Authority approves the new rules, the membership fee will be €31. Once the new rules are approved and in force, the temporarily membership fee will be €33.
