Employee benefit fund – Health and financial security for our employees
The financial security provided by the fund enables maintaining good health for a longer time.
Taking care of one’s own health becomes more regular, and quality of life improves.
The operations of the employee benefit fund include granting benefits under the Health Insurance Act and additional reimbursements for medical expenses to insured individuals covered by the fund.
Employee benefit fund also functions as KELA office for matters related to the Health Insurance Act (SVL).
Benefits processed by the fund include:
- Reimbursements under the Health Insurance Act for medications, dental care, and doctor’s consultation fees
- Special reimbursement for medicines
- Pregnancy and parental allowances (benefits are paid by KELA)
- Sickness and partial sickness allowances (benefits are paid by KELA)
KELA finances the costs related to the Health Insurance Act.
The operations of the employee benefit fund are financed as follows:
- Additional benefit reimbursements are funded by insurance fees paid by the insured individuals
- Administrative costs are covered by administrative fees paid by the share holders.
